The didactic teaching program includes a mandatory 3-hour protected conference time for formal lectures that cover the curriculum extensively. There are weekly Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) Conferences and Grand Rounds and monthly healthcare matrix sessions. The residents also have a monthly jeopardy quiz session in which the residents sets the questions from assigned reading which are edited by the program director. Weekly conferences also occur in gynecology, high-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, gynecologic oncology, and gynecologic pathology with seminars in reproductive endocrinology & infertility and urogynecology. As a result of the high quality of the weekly M&M conferences, a text book has been published authored by the faculty and fellows at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center ('Obstetrics and Gynecology: Cases, Questions and Answers'). Residents' Journal club occurs at least bi-monthly.
Third year medical students from UCLA undergo the required six-week OBGYN clerkship at Cedars-Sinai and there are sub internships for fourth year medical students from medical schools nationwide.
