Foundation Relations

Welcome to Foundation Relations at Cedars-Sinai.  We work across academic departments and administrative offices to build and enhance mutually beneficial relationships with private foundations.

Foundation Relations is the office responsible for coordinating approaches to all private foundations on behalf of Cedars-Sinai.  Our primary role is to manage relationships with private foundations that can advance and support Cedars-Sinai’s mission, strategic goals, and priorities.  We do this through effective communications with foundation staff, submitting strong letters of inquiry and proposals, and executing careful stewardship of grants.  Our oversight ensures that each contact with a private foundation is coordinated and strategic.

Foundation Relations can assist individual faculty members and departments in securing foundation support for their academic and research goals.  We provide a broad range of services that include:
• Marketing the significant accomplishments of Cedars-Sinai to foundations.
• Identifying potential foundation prospects.
• Developing strategies for approaching and cultivating foundations for support.
• Editing and writing support for letters of inquiry, proposals, and stewardship reports.
• Distributing announcements for new funding opportunities
• Arranging and facilitating foundation visits to campus.
