Dr. Belgarde graduated from University of California Los Angeles with bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology. She earned her medical degree at Wright State University (WSU) Boonshoft School of Medicine in Ohio. She completed her internship in combined internal medicine and pediatrics ((med-peds) at Albert Einstein Medical Center and her residency at Georgetown University.
Dr. Belgarde has been the recipient of many awards throughout her academic career including the WSU Boonshoft School of Medicine’s African American Merit Scholarship and the Mabel Wilson Richards Scholarship at the University of California, Los Angeles. She was also nominated for the String of Pearls Award for excellence in teaching at Georgetown University Hospital.
Dr. Belgarde has served as both a Principle Investigator and Co-Principle Investigator for various research projects throughout her academic medical career. Her primary research interests include Hyper IgE Syndrome.
