Medical Oncology

Medical oncologists evaluate breast cancer patients and advise them on the non-surgical treatment options. Some breast cancer patients benefit from chemotherapy, but others require hormonal therapy or no additional treatment at all.

Our medical oncologists work with our breast surgeons to ensure that our cancer patients are aware of potential treatment options. Our medical oncologists are also involved in clinical trials and research to develop new, more effective chemotherapy and drug treatments. Your medical oncologist will also help your breast surgeon to address other important issues, such as early detection of recurrent disease, pain management and the prevention of future disease.
