Radiology and Nuclear Medicine

During the Weekly Case Review, Radiologists provide input to patient diagnostic and treatment decisions.

Our radiologists specialize in the diagnosis of breast cancer and other womens conditions. They supervise mammography and ultrasound done at our two sites. When needed, they coordinate additional testing (e.g., breast MRI ) and perform minimally invasive diagnostic procedures (e.g., stereotactic breast biopsy ). We have experts in nuclear medicine to interpret diagnostic studies (e.g., PET) and to assist our surgeons with the less-invasive Sentinel (Blue) Node Biopsy.

Imaging is done either at the S. Mark Taper Foundation Imaging Center or the Marcia Israel Mammography Center.
