Onsite Laboratory and Pharmacy Services
We offer onsite laboratory and pharmacy services to meet cancer patients' needs with the utmost convenience. By having these services all located on the same level, the cancer care teams can communicate with one another more effectively and results are available more quickly.
Our onsite, state-of-the-art laboratory is certified by the College of American Pathologists. Test results are rapidly processed and delivered to the attending physician. This efficiency decreases patient anxiety and waiting time.
The onsite pharmacy provides medications for infusion at the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center. The pharmacy is staffed with five oncology-registered pharmacists and technicians who specialize in preparing chemotherapy agents. These experienced specialists provide instruction to patients and family members concerning ambulatory infusion devices, medication, side effects and drug interactions.
