The Head and Neck Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai's Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care for patients with malignant (cancerous) and benign (noncancerous) tumors of the head and neck.

Expert Evaluation and Diagnosis by Head and Neck Specialists

The specialists at the Head and Neck Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai have state-of-the-art imaging technologies available to assist them in making accurate diagnoses. In addition, they are experienced in the latest minimally invasive surgical techniques for removing tumors while protecting affected organs as much as possible.

Patients of the Head and Neck Cancer Center can access additional services at Cedars-Sinai to assist in their recovery and return to daily life including:

  • Minimally invasive, endoscopic laser surgery that allows for comprehensive surgery with less pain and less time required for recovery
  • Cosmetic reconstructive surgery and voice rehabilitation, which is offered by the center or in cooperation with other Cedars-Sinai specialty centers
  • Advanced chemotherapy
  • Radiotherapy, including intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) and implant brachytherapy, which deliver focused radiotherapy to tumors with minimal damage to surrounding tissue
