The expert team at the Women's Guild Lung Institute at Cedars-Sinai has pioneered the VATS (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery) lobectomy and has the largest volume in the world. VATS lobectomy is a minimally invasive surgical technique for lung cancer. The thoracic surgeons at Cedars-Sinai have also been pioneers in developing a minimally invasive surgery to treat emphysema.
