Joyce N. Fox, MD

Dermatology

Joyce Fox, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.

Dr. Fox also co-supervises the Cosmetic Dermatology Program. This program consists of a team of dermatologists, cosmetic nurse practitioner and skincare specialist who emphasize skin restoration, with wide range of preventive and rejuvenating procedures. Dermatologist-selected retail skin care products are available on site.

Dr. Fox attended the University of Miami (Florida) School of Medicine. Previously, she graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville, with highest honors. Her internship was completed at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego, Calif. Her dermatology residency was at the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center. She also received specialized training in pediatric dermatology at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Dr. Fox graduated Phi Beta Kappa and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.

Before joining the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group in 1996, Dr. Fox was the head of dermatology for Friendly Hills Medical Group and Cigna Health Plans. From 1988 to 1995, she was the local project director for skin cancer screenings for the American Academy of Dermatology. At the present, Dr. Fox is co-director of Sun Safety For Kids.

Dr. Fox has been an advisory board member of the American Academy of Dermatology (1995-97); a member of the National Leaders Society (1994); the chairperson for the dermatology section of the California Medical Association (1981-1983); and the president of the Los Angeles Metropolitan Dermatological Society (1995-1996). She is clinical professor at University of Southern California and clinical instructor at Children's Hospital. In addition, Dr. Fox is assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of California, Los Angeles. She has received the American Cancer Society's Certificate of Merit.

Dr. Fox is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the California Dermatology Society, the Los Angeles Academy of Medicine, the Pacific Dermatologic Association and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
