Rachel Abuav, MD
Rachel Abuav, MD is a board-certified dermatologist with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.
Dr. Abuav graduated from Northwestern University with a bachelor's of arts degree. She earned her medical degree with research honors from the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. She completed her internship in internal medicine at North Shore University Hospital and her dermatology residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Health Associates, Dr. Abuav was an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Johns Hopkins University. She directed the Dermatology Inpatient Consultation Service for the Johns Hopkins Hospital during that time. She was also a member of the Graft-vs-Host disease treatment team.
Dr. Abuav earned several honors and awards, including a research fellowship in investigative dermatology/cutaneous immunology at the Rockefeller University, funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Association of Professors of Dermatology.
Dr. Abuav has special interests in caring for adult patients with complex dermatologic conditions, rheumatologic diseases, cutaneous graft-vs host disease and the cutaneous manifestations of systemic disease.
She is proficient in Hebrew.
