Stephen Deutsch, MD, is a board-certified internist with the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group. He is also Chief Medical Officer for the Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation, which includes the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.
Dr. Deutsch received his medical doctorate from the University of Health Sciences Chicago Medical School, where he won the Merck Award for Scholastic Honors. He obtained a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin. He performed his internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was chief resident.
In 1985, Dr. Deutsch became a founding member of the Medical Group of Beverly Hills, now known as Cedars-Sinai Medical Group, where he served as medical director.
Among his numerous accomplishments, Dr. Deutsch, is an associate clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical School. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society; a Fellow of the American College of Internal Medicine; a member of the Board of Governors, Midway Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles, since 1992; president of the Physicians Council, Healthcare Association of Southern California (1997-1998); Secretary-Treasurer, Health Association of Southern California, (1995); Chairman, Practice Management Committee, Healthcare Association of Southern California (1994); Member, Board of Governors, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles (1987-1988); President, Cedars-Sinai Alumni Association (1987-1988); Clinical Chief, Division of General Internal Medicine, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles (1982-83); President, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center House Staff (1976-1977).
Dr. Deutsch is also a member of the American College of Internal Medicine, and he has presented at more than 30 national speaking engagements.
