Comprehensive Neurological Care

Neurological disorders, such as the inability to control body movements, uncontrollable tremors, loss of sensation, memory disorders and involuntary speech tics, are complicated and affect the quality of life of the patient, family and friends.

At the Cedars-Sinai Department of Neurology, our multidisciplinary team specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases affecting the nervous system.

The Department of Neurology works in collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery and the The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation to offer a full array of services to neurological patients.

The Department of Neurology is also consistently pursing clinical trials to find new treatments for neurological conditions, including stroke, brain tumors, epilepsy and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).

Awarded to centers that pass a rigorous on-site review and a thorough examination of the program and patient care, the certification recognizes the center's commitment to following national standards and guidelines that can significantly improve outcomes for stroke patients.

In the 2012-13 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals issue, Cedars-Sinai once again ranked among America's best in Neurology and Neurosurgery.
