Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Rotation

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), also referred to as Physiatry, involves diagnosis and treatment of patients with painful or functionally limiting conditions, management of co-morbidities and co-impairments, diagnostic and therapeutic injection procedures, electrodiagnostic medicine and emphasis on the prevention of complications of disability from secondary conditions. Residents will complete this rotation during the PGY 2 year. It will consist of inpatient and outpatient experiences and will allow residents to better understand the role of physiatrists in treatment of patients with neurological disorders.

Residents on this rotation take at home call on average once every 4-5 nights.
