Pulmonary and Mediastinal Pathology

The Pulmonary and Mediastinal Pathology service evaluates lung, pleura, thymus and other mediastinal specimens for primary diagnosis and consultation/second opinion.  Diagnostic entities include lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, mesothelioma, thymoma and other neoplastic and non-neoplastic intrathoracic diseases.  The division offers the full spectrum of immunohistochemical stains, FISH, PCR and molecular studies for full diagnostic interpretation with clinical correlation.
