Pediatric Surgical Services
Pediatric Surgical Services is a comprehensive program that offers leading-edge surgical therapies, from robot-assisted and minimally invasive surgery to multi-organ transplantation. The program takes full advantage of the collaborative opportunities available at Cedars-Sinai to provide the best possible care to children. It has state-of-the-art pediatric and neonatal intensive care units with a full-time faculty of intensivists. The Pediatric Surgical Services program is complemented by the world-class Medical Genetics Institute at Cedars-Sinai. This institute is one of the largest programs of its kind in the United States and offers all aspects of evaluation, diagnosis, appropriate referral and family counseling.
Maria's Big House of Hope
Pediatric surgeon Philip K. Frykman, MD, PhD, led a team to Maria's Big House of Hope, a medical foster home in Louyang that is home to 140 orphans. After receiving care from the Cedars-Sinai team, two boys from the foster home have been adopted by families in the U.S.Read Full Story
