Neel R. Joshi, MD is a board-certified general surgeon with Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates and the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Joshi earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude. He earned his medical degree at the Mayo Medical School in Minnesota. Dr. Joshi completed his residency training in general surgery serving as Administrative Chief Resident followed by his fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery and bariatric surgery, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Joshi is the co-author of multiple publications and has given numerous presentations on topics related to bariatric surgery. He has received several awards including the 2006 Paul Rubenstein Prize for Excellence in Resident Research, the 2007 Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award, the 2008 Department of Surgery Teaching Award, and the 2008 Leo G. Rigler, MD Award.
Dr. Joshi's hobbies outside of medicine include golf and long distance running. He is also a budding wine enthusiast.
