Facilities
The Department of Surgery operates within Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a 958-bed tertiary care facility including 31 operating rooms in the main building.
In 2007, we completed the renovation of six state-of-the-art surgical facilities located on the fifth floor of the main Medical Center building.

In addition to our main building, in January 2006 Cedars-Sinai Medical Center was pleased to announce the opening of our newest building, the Saperstein Critical Care Tower (SCCCT).

The building consists of 11 levels with a planned mix of inpatient services, 180 licensed beds at the upper levels with support and plant functions at the lower levels. The SCCT has a total of 250,000 square feet with an additional 13,700 square feet of glass enclosed pedestrian bridges linking each of its six program levels to the adjacent main hospital building.
