Leon Bender MD

Leon Bender, MD is Co-Director of the Cedars-Sinai Urology Center. An experienced researcher, Dr. Bender was an investigator for the "Phase Two Trial of Raloxifene in Patients with Hormone Refractory Prostate Cancer" as well as other projects involving bladder and prostate cancer.
Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, Dr. Bender is a member of several professional organizations, and has served in leadership positions in many state and national societies, as well as Chief of Staff at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Bender has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Urology, Pediatrics, Cancer Research, and Journal of Endourology.
Dr. Bender received his bachelor's, master's, and medical degrees from the University of Illinois. He completed a mixed medicine internship at Michael Reese Hospital and fulfilled a general surgery residency at the Veterans Administration's Westside Hospital and a urology residency at Michael Reese Hospital.
