Using The Core

Analyzers 

  • New users must register for training and fill out New User Form. (Current users interested in using the new LSR Fortessa also must fill out a New User Form and contact Aparna Subramanian in advance).   Please fill out and return (hard copy or email to the flow core.

 Sorters

  • Fill out the and return  Presort form  via email for AriaIII, Ariall* or MoFlo   (Mac users: option-click to download form and use Adobe Reader for proper functioning).  This form MUST be resubmitted with every sort. 

 *The new sorter (Ariall) has 7 colors with excitation off  2 lasers (Blue 488 and Red 633).

 

 When planning a flow cytometry experiment:

    1.  Confirm that the fluorescent labels and their combinations will be viewed with 

            the Instrument Configuration to be used.

    2.  Read over the sample preparation protocol

    3.   Schedule an appointment in the Calendar

    4.  Bring samples to the core lab to be analyzed or sorted.  All sorting will be done 

            by the flow core staff
