The Orsulic Laboratory

Our research involves studying the mechanisms by which genetic alterations contribute to cancer initiation and metastatic progression; identifying molecular markers for early cancer detection; generating suitable pre-clinical models for testing therapies that target specific biochemical pathways; and modeling the development of drug resistance to targeted therapies.

We use diverse technologies such as genomic and expression profiling of human tissues, cell and organ culture systems, and Cre-lox and tetracycline-inducible genetically engineered mice that recapitulate the development and pathophysiological manifestations of human cancers.
