The Tone Laboratory
The goal of the Tone Lab, focused on tumor and molecular immunology, is to develop new cancer therapeutic strategies by controlling the immune responses. Some cancer cells are able to survive by evading the immune responses through the immunosuppressive activity of regulatory T (Treg) cells. We are therefore trying to control T cell-mediated immune responses to activate antitumor immunity. To understand regulation of the immune responses, we are investigating transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulation in T cells and antigen-presenting cells (APCs).
