Research Focus

Genomic and molecular pathogenesis of ovarian cancer to identify novel biomarkers for disease prediction, prognosis, and targets for new treatment strategies. We are currenly focusing our studies on genes in DNA repair pathways and cell signalling proteins.

Research Contributions

Discovered a high degree of genetic instability among ovarian cancer genomes, with different patterns occurring in BRCA-associated and sporadic tumors. Identified cyclin E and ERCC5 as candidate genes important to ovarian cancer biology.

Current investigations include:

Genetic changes that modulate ovarian cancer response to chemotherapy. In vivo models of ovarian cancer. Biomarker predictor of ovarian cancer response to chemotherapy. Prognostic factors in gynecologic malignancies.
