Isabel Pedraza, MD
Director, Respiratory Intensive Care Services
Isabel Frances Pedraza, MD, is a pulmonologist at the Women's Guild Lung Institute. She is board-certified in internal, critical care and pulmonary medicine.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Pedraza was a hospitalist and clinical instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the UCLA. She earned her bachelor's of science in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire, Durham, and her masters degree in medical sciences and medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She performed her residency in internal medicine at UCLA Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Cedars-Sinai.
Pedraza'a clinical and research interests include asthma, obstructive lung disease, rheumatoid lung disease, sarcoidosis, and World Trade Center lung disease. She has authored and co-authored articles for peer reviewed publications, including "Sputum Auto-antibodies in Patients with Established Rheumatoid Arthritis and Subjects at Risk of Future Clinically Apparent Disease" in Arthritis and Rheumatism. She is currently involved in NIH funded research studying the role of the lung in the development of rheumatoid arthritis.
