Wendy Sacks, MD
Wendy Sacks, MD is an endocrinologist with the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and the Thyroid Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai.
Board certified in internal medicine with a subspecialty of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, Dr. Sacks spent one year of additional training focusing on thyroid cancer as the Levy Family Fellow in Thyroid Cancer. Her research primarily has a clinical focus, looking at the appropriate use of radioactive iodine treatment in low risk thyroid cancer patients, use of harmonic scalpel in thyroidectomy cases, and efficacy of molecular markers in thyroid biopsy specimens.
Dr. Sacks earned her bachelor's degree from Stanford University where she was awarded a scholarship to play on the women's tennis team. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Medicine and completed her internal medicine internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Sacks sub-specialized in endocrinology completing her endocrine fellowship training at the University of California, Los Angeles.
