Regional Cooperation for Health, Science and Technology

The Regional Cooperation for Health, Science and Technology (RECOOP HST) Association is a structured research group that seeks to improve the prevention and treatment of major public health problems through multinational, multidisciplinary collaboration. Created and led by Cedars-Sinai, it comprises 17 universities and academic organizations across eight countries in Central and Eastern Europe including the United States. The association explores and enhances local scientific outputs of the partner organizations, creates a critical mass of scientifically sound innovative research at the regional level and exploits the research outcomes at the global level.

Member Organizations

International collaboration is the cornerstone of RECOOP HST. Cedars-Sinai partners with these member organizations and medical schools to share findings and work together to improve our world through scientific research.

Collaborating to Find Solutions

RECOOP Grants support studies of major public health problems that rely on multidisciplinary research. RECOOP scientists explore common mechanisms of diseases and gender roles in overweight, obesity-related non-communicable diseases such as metabolic disease (peripheral and central insulin resistance, Type 2 diabetes mellitus), cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases, reproductive health as well as nanomedicine and nanosafety.
