International Outreach

While medical technologies benefiting patients are under development all over the world, many innovative clinical scientists lack the connections and resources to develop and commercialize their ideas. Through the Cedars-Sinai Technology Transfer Office’s international outreach program, we assist researchers across the world in commercializing their inventions.

Education and Support

We have ongoing relationships with institutions and clinical scientists in South America, Central Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia. The Technology Transfer Office recently established two partnerships in Uruguay: one to provide education and support for the Pasteur Institute in Montevideo and the other to help the software company Otoharmonics launch a product designed to prevent tinnitus (ringing in the ears).

By forming relationships with researchers and institutions across the world, Cedars-Sinai increases opportunities to bring innovative medical solutions to patients. Our team also teaches best practices to institutions throughout the world so that other academic medical centers can develop their own technology transfer practices.
