Shi Laboratory

The Shi Laboratory studies neuroinflammation in the regulation of blood pressure and cardiovascular function. The lab is investigating the role of microglia, resident immune cells in the central nervous system, as the primary source of inflammation and contributors that shape neuronal plasticity and cardiovascular hemostasis.

Research focus

  1. Neuronal control of cardiovascular diseases
  2. Neuroinflammation and neuronal plasticity

The Shi Laboratory is affiliated with the Department of Neurology and Department of Biomedical Sciences.
