The Shi Laboratory studies neuroinflammation in the regulation of blood pressure and cardiovascular function. The lab is investigating the role of microglia, resident immune cells in the central nervous system, as the primary source of inflammation and contributors that shape neuronal plasticity and cardiovascular hemostasis.
- Neuronal control of cardiovascular diseases
- Neuroinflammation and neuronal plasticity
The Shi Lab is affiliated with the Department of Neurology.
