Highly Respected Physician-Executive Named to Lead Cedars-Sinai Medical Network

Los Angeles – Jan. 21, 2016 – John Jenrette, MD, a highly respected physician-executive known for developing new medical care delivery models to meet consumer desires for accessible, high-quality care, has been selected to lead Cedars-Sinai's fast-expanding Medical Network of physicians who deliver primary and specialty medical services.
As executive vice president of the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network, Jenrette will report to Thomas M. Priselac, Cedars-Sinai's president and CEO. Jenrette currently is senior vice president of San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare and chief executive officer of Sharp Community Medical Group.
During the last three decades, Jenrette has served in various management and leadership roles, all focused on providing accessible, patient-centered healthcare. He has become a recognized healthcare leader, both nationally and in California.
"Dr. Jenrette brings exceptional leadership skills, a deep and broad understanding of the way healthcare systems and physician groups practice, and, most important, a strong commitment to patient-focused delivery models for today's and tomorrow's healthcare system," Priselac said.
For more than 20 years, Jenrette served as a member of the Sharp HealthCare System executive team, helping to shape its overall strategy. He has been responsible for guiding the growth, operations and leadership of the Sharp Community Medical Group, which includes more than 250 primary care physicians and 800 specialists.

Jenrette is a summa cum laude graduate of the Ohio State University School of Medicine. Following a family medicine residency at the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, he completed a family medicine geriatric fellowship at the East Carolina University School of Medicine. He began his management career as program director of the Family Practice Residency for the Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine, where he also served on the academic faculty.
Jenrette will join Cedars-Sinai on Mar. 14.
