Clinical Social Worker

Jaime Goldberg, MSW, LCSW, ACHP-SW serves as the clinical social worker for Cedars-Sinai Supportive Care Medicine.

Ms. Goldberg is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of California and holds the designation of advanced certified hospice and palliative social worker through the National Association of Social Workers and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.

Ms. Goldberg earned a bachelor of arts with high honors and high distinction from the University of Michigan. She earned her Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, where she focused her studies in gerontology and healthcare.

Ms. Goldberg previously served as a social worker for the Veterans Administration Inpatient Palliative Care Consultation service as well as core faculty for the VA/Cedars-Sinai Palliative Care Fellowship Program. While at the VA, Ms. Goldberg was awarded the Social Work Shining Star Award and the VA Excellence in Patient-Centered Care Award.

Ms. Goldberg has been invited to speak both locally and nationally about palliative care and hospice topics including the veteran-specific dying experience, the role of the social worker on a palliative care team, and the importance of advance care planning. Ms. Goldberg has co-authored two book chapters, including a chapter titled "Financial Considerations for the Palliative Social Worker" in the seminal text The Oxford Textbook of Palliative Social Work (T. Altilio and S. Otis-Green, editors), the first time this specific topic was covered in the literature.
