Marion McRae, RN, MScN, ACNP
Marion McRae, RN, MScN, ACNP is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with the Cedars-Sinai Guerin Family Congenital Heart Program.
Ms. McRae earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing and a post-master’s Acute Care Nurse Practitioner diploma from the University of Toronto. She also holds a certificate in Coronary Care Nursing from Humber College in Toronto. She has extensive experience in pediatric and adult congenital cardiac care and adult cardiothoracic surgery.
Ms. McRae has published articles in numerous peer-reviewed journals including Critical Care Nurse, Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, American Journal of Critical Care, Circulation, Advanced Critical Care and Applied Nursing Research. A prolific speaker, she has been invited to lecture on her areas of expertise at both the national and international level. Ms. McRae has served as reviewer for cardiovascular textbooks. She has also served on national committees related to specialty certification.
Ms. McRae is a member of several professional organizations including the Adult Congenital Heart Association, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American Heart Association, and the American College of Cardiology. She has twice served as co-director of the International Symposium on Adult Congenital Heart Disease and currently serves on the Cedars-Sinai Nursing Research Committee.
