Advanced GI MIS/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship

The mission of the Cedars-Sinai Advanced GI MIS/Bariatric Surgery Fellowship is to produce leaders in the field of advanced gastrointestinal (GI) minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and bariatric surgery. Our graduates possess exceptional skill, a defined knowledge base, and research and teaching ability that allow them to contribute to excellent patient outcomes and further our understanding of GI and metabolic diseases.

We achieve our mission through exposing our fellows to experienced and active members of the national surgical community. We introduce fellows to pioneering approaches to surgical disease based on established evidence and innovative programs being developed at Cedars-Sinai.

Our fellowship has a long track record of producing productive and successful fellows since 1993. This distinguished record allows for a mature educational and experiential process that prepares fellows for working in both academic and private practice settings upon completion of their training, with ample opportunities for networking and mentorship throughout their surgical careers.
