As a Cedars-Sinai Cardiovascular Disease fellow, you will have the opportunity to learn in some of the best-equipped outpatient, inpatient, surgical and research facilities in the world. These include:
The 11-story pavilion is home to the Smidt Heart Institute. It houses outpatient and inpatient services for the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute.
Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center (LAMC)
Kaiser Permanente's LAMC offers services to over 3 million of its HMO members at its 460-bed referral facility.
Located at the Smidt Heart Institute, the Advanced Clinical Biosystems Research Institute brings together scientists and physicians to focus on research in high throughput quantitative proteomics and disease-induced biomarker studies.
Located at the Smidt Heart Institute, the Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Center focuses on identifying female-pattern heart disease, developing new diagnostic tools and advancing specialized care for women.
The Biomedical Imaging Research Institute works to develop novel medical imaging, including research in cardiac translational imaging.
Burns and Allen Research Institute
Located in the Barbara and Marvin Davis Research Building, the Burns and Allen Research Institute focuses on investigations of the genetic, molecular and immunological factors that trigger disease.
Located at the Smidt Heart Institute, the Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiac Center provides patient services ranging from nutrition advice to stress management to exercise programs.
The center, a division of Cedars-Sinai, provides a full range of imaging services, including nuclear, CT and MRI.
Saban Clinic
The clinic, a Cedars-Sinai training partner, provides services to low-income and underinsured patients.
Saperstein
The 150-bed Saperstein building includes a 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and a 24-bed Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit.
