Endovascular Thoracic Surgery Fellowship

The Cedars-Sinai Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery is offering a one-year clinical fellowship in endovascular thoracic surgery. The Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute has the largest aortic program on the West Coast and the largest TAVR and Mitraclip volume in the U.S. The clinical fellow will be trained in advanced/hybrid TEVAR, EVAR, TAVR and Mitraclip implantation. Access to investigational devices is offered through a series of clinical trials and investigator-sponsored IDEs with Ali Khoynezhad, MD, FACS. Active involvement with advanced cardiac operations, including complex valve, aortic root/arch reconstruction's, thoracoscopic off-pump complete Maze operations and robotic mitral valve repair is offered. Clinical research resulting in presentation/publication in major interventional meetings/journal is strongly encouraged.

We are seeking future stars in the field, seeking to become hybrid-trained cardiovascular surgeons with academic aspirations. Candidates must be either board-eligible or certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. They must be eligible for licensure in California.
