Physician-Scientist Training Program

The Internal Medicine Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) in the Cedars-Sinai Department of Medicine trains physicians who have a strong commitment to academic careers as both clinicians and researchers. This program merges the outstanding clinical training provided by Cedars-Sinai Internal Medicine Residency Training Program and fellowships with the world-renowned clinical, translational and basic science research programs.

The mission of the PSTP is to provide early and individualized support to highly motivated trainees as they develop their academic careers. The program also offers the opportunity for highly qualified candidates to pursue an academic investigative career in General Internal Medicine.

Trainees can pursue one of two tracks while receiving mentoring as well as an annual stipend.

The Internal Medicine PSTP consists of interns, residents and fellows at various stages in their training and in a variety of subspecialties.
