The Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Program at the Smidt Heart Institute welcomes referrals from outside physicians. Our goal is to work alongside referring physicians to enhance their patients' care through the services we provide, including enrolling eligible patients into appropriate clinical trials.
To refer patients, please view our Mechanical Circulatory Support Program Referral Form (PDF) .
Patients referred to the MCS program are seen within a week of their referral. To reach the program, please see the Contact Us page.
To review publications from physicians and researchers of the MCS Program, please visit PubMed.

The MCS Program offers practical insights, training and state-of-the-art devices for the treatment of end-stage heart failure patients. Every two years the program holds a national conference on mechanical circulatory support. The next conference is scheduled for Oct. 9-10, 2015.
