This complimentary one-hour class is led by one of our anesthesiologists who specialize in caring for mothers. The class answers common questions couples may have regarding choices for anesthesia in labor and birth.
- Is there really such a thing as a “walking” epidural?
- Do epidurals affect labor progress?
- What are the risks and benefits?
- Is it ever too late to get an epidural?
- What if I am having a cesarean birth?
Our goal is to help you understand epidural and spinal anesthesia as an option for coping with labor and support YOU in making an informed, personal choice. Bring your questions, and we’ll bring the answers!
*Please note that although choices for anesthesia in labor and birth are covered in the Cedars-Sinai Childbirth Classes, this class goes into greater detail and allows more time for questions and discussion specifically about epidurals and spinals.
