Heart Institute/SCM Cardiology Services

Cedars-Sinai performs more heart transplants than any other center in the world, and we are the largest mechanical circulatory support center in the country. We use mechanical circulatory support technology to improve survival as a bridge to transplant and as definitive therapy for some patients with advanced heart disease. These patients face many unique physical and psychosocial challenges associated with their healthcare. Supportive care medicine providers are integrated within the mechanical circulatory support team to provide symptom management, advance care planning and to help deliver family-centered cardiac care.
