Kristin A. Martinez, BA, CCRP

Kristin A. Martinez is director of International Affairs for the Cedars-Sinai Technology Transfer Office. She has more than 13 years of experience in business development, program management, global alliances, corporate- and government-sponsored research and clinical trials.
Martinez leads a team that engages Cedars-Sinai and its global partners in forming collaborations to accelerate innovation. These activities focus on development of innovative medical solutions through the establishment of strong, international, programmatic linkages between universities, industry and government entities. The program comprises over 50 active partners from across the globe, including those in China, England, Hong Kong, Singapore and Spain.
Martinez returned to Cedars-Sinai after having served as the administrator of the Clinical Research Center at the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. In this role she was responsible for a full-service clinical research infrastructure in a rural setting managing more than 300 projects for the National Cancer Institute's Community Clinical Oncology Program, National Institutes of Health's Clinical and Translational Science Award program, industry-supported clinical trials and investigator-initiated studies. She has also held positions with UCLA and the Walt Disney Company.
Martinez holds a bachelor's degree from UCLA in anthropology and routinely lectures at national and international meetings on topics such as global collaboration, research administration and clinical trial feasibility.
