Associate Legal Counsel
As Associate Legal Counsel, Pamela Collingwood provides legal services to the Cedars-Sinai Technology Transfer Office, with an emphasis on intellectual property law. Her responsibilities include drafting and reviewing contracts, license agreements and correspondence regarding Cedars-Sinai and technology transfer operations and relationships; drafting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with new laws and regulations; and providing general legal services to Cedars-Sinai's new business ventures. Collingwood joined the Cedars-Sinai Legal Affairs Department in 2009.
Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Collingwood worked in the global corporate department of the international law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP. At Milbank, she represented public and privately-held companies in a wide range of domestic and international transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity investments, secured financings and debt and equity offerings.
Collingwood earned a bachelor's degree in history and comparative literature from Brown University. She earned her doctorate of law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Boalt Hall). Prior to attending law school, she received a Fulbright grant to study Arabic language and literature at the University of Damascus, Syria. She is a member of the State Bar of California.
