Immunology and Immunotherapy Research

Immune cells are present in every organ of the body and play central roles in maintaining healthy tissues, fighting infections and preventing tumor growth. The immune system must be carefully regulated to ensure it functions efficiently while restricting collateral damage and inappropriate activation of immune mechanisms that can cause allergic, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.

Research Areas

Our overall goal is to develop improved strategies to prevent, diagnose and treat infectious diseases, cancer, autoimmunity and inflammatory diseases.

Our Faculty

Clinicians and scientists, including nearly 50 faculty and 70 trainees (PhD students and postdocs), are studying the immune system and participating in clinical trials in multiple Cedars-Sinai departments and institutes.

Education and Training

Events

Several seminar and research-in-progress series provide opportunities to learn about and present cutting-edge immunology research.

Job Openings

The Immunology and Immunotherapy Research team has open positions for postdoctoral fellows, researchers and scientists.
