Gertych Laboratory

The Gertych Laboratory focuses on bioimage informatics by applying high-content image analysis and high throughput cytometry to systematically study cellular phenotypes in the context of biomarkers and their subcellular organization. Our research includes implementation of pattern recognition techniques for quantitative characterization of cellular and tissue specimens to enhance perception of human vision and expand diagnostic capabilities in the era of digital pathology and computational biology. Our research contributes to multidisciplinary efforts to develop robust computer-aided diagnostic and screening platforms.

The Gertych Laboratory is affiliated with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Surgery Department.
