Trauma Research Program
The Trauma Research Program focuses on facilitating clinical research in the Department of Surgery's Division of Trauma and Critical Care at Cedars-Sinai. The Trauma Research Program provides undergraduate students with firsthand exposure to clinical research at one of the top Level I trauma centers in Los Angeles.
The program involves clinical research and experience in presenting on trauma topics, which should serve useful for students when applying to medical (allopathic and osteopathic), dental, pharmacy, physician assistant and public health programs around the country.
Participants have the opportunity to attend weekly trauma and critical care lectures, and annual conferences held at Cedars-Sinai. Participants become familiar with research methodology and contribute to clinical research by presenting quarterly on relevant surgical topics. In addition to research exposure, students participate and present in weekly discussions on topics pertaining to trauma.
