Trevor Nelson graduated from the University of Southern California where he majored in mechanical engineering. During his undergraduate career, Nelson primarily focused on researching novel processes using metal-based 3D printing. As manager of the Metzger Laboratory, Nelson's role is to design and implement custom biomechanical tests for a variety of orthopaedic applications. He is an avid marathon runner who also enjoys reading and tinkering with electronics.

Samuel "Sam" Eberlein moved to Los Angeles after completing his undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins University in 2017. His senior design project focused on the development of an automated, attachable device to reposition wheelchair users in order to reduce the likelihood of acquiring pressure ulcers. During the summer of 2016, Eberlein worked as an intern at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. He was born and raised in coastal Alabama, and enjoys sailing, swimming and college football.
