Rotations
A well-trained surgeon is capable of overseeing all aspects of their patient’s care. To gain this experience, residents rotate through a broad range of surgical fields. There are several rotations in general surgery, plus rotations in advanced minimally invasive and robotic surgery, complex gastrointestinal surgery and surgical oncology, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, trauma, critical care, pediatric surgery and transplantation.
For a sample of clinical rotations, see the Program Catalog (PDF).
