Research

Research is considered an important aspect of education and has strong departmental and institutional support, including a large, well-organized biobank. Participation in at least one research project over the four-year program is required, typically resulting in an abstract and publication. Most residents undertake several studies. Residents select their projects and the faculty with whom they want to work, with clinical and/or translational studies available in all anatomic pathology and clinical pathology subspecialty areas.
