Libraries


Cedars-Sinai Library offers the highest quality information and resources. Residents will have access to more than 26,000 unique book titles, 25,000 journal titles, 20 databases and much more, including online access through the e-journal/e-book portal. The Residency Program will also maintain an internal library of necessary textbooks for training.

Cedars-Sinai Department of Radiation Oncology

This facility offers three linear accelerators (two Varian TrueBeam, one Elekta Versa), a Varian HDR Bravos afterloader and a Xoft machine. Residents will gain exposure to a diverse selection of case types, including novel treatment techniques. Residents will be trained in the various treatment modalities available in the department, including but not limited to: photons, electrons, SRS, SBRT, TBI, brachytherapy, and a variety of motion management techniques including 4D CT, compression, surface monitoring and breath-hold techniques. In addition, the resident will be trained on various types of QA equipment, including but not limited to: 3D water tank, 1D water tank, IC Profiler, ArcCHECK, portal dose, OSLDs, GafChromic film, diodes and a variety of ion chambers. Residents will be involved in the commissioning of new physics equipment.

This facility offers one Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator. Residents will gain exposure to photons, electrons, SBRT, and a variety of motion management techniques. The resident will also be trained on various types of QA equipment, including but not limited to: 3D water tank, IC Profiler, Octavius, portal dose, OSLDs, GafChromic film, diodes and a variety of ion chambers.
