Application Information
The Clinical Scholars Program is directed to residents (in the later years of their training), fellows, junior faculty (who are K-award eligible) and postdoctoral scientists.
Requirements for admission include a baccalaureate degree (or its foreign equivalent), plus a medical degree or other health-related doctoral degree, or PhD. Academic achievement and considerable interest in a career as a clinical investigator are required.
All training programs and clinical/research departments are eligible to nominate candidates for admission.
How to Apply
Accepting applications: April 14 - July 11, 2025
Classes start: August 26, 2025
To apply to the Clinical Scholars Program, you will need to complete the application form. In addition to completing the form, applicants will also need to submit the following supporting material:
- Current curriculum vitae.
- Personal statement of career goals.
- Letter of recommendation from the division director, department chair or institute director indicating the financial support and protected time is provided during the didactic and research years of the program. The letter must specifically state the source of support.
- Letter of commitment from the applicant’s research mentor(s).
- Brief (2–3 pages) description of the research project the applicant will be working on during the program.
After reviewing the materials you have submitted, the program director will schedule an interview with you.
