Lifestyle refers to modifiable factors in a person's day-to-day life. These include diet, exercise, tobacco use, alcohol use, sleep, stress and other modifiable factors.
CIRCL offers a variety of funding, educational and collaborative opportunities to investigators. Each year, CIRCL puts forth a Request for Applications to fund as many as two projects in any discipline related to cancer and lifestyle. CIRCL also offers seminars and lunch learning programs to educate individuals on innovative research occurring at Cedars-Sinai and outside institutions. Additionally, CIRCL offers groundbreaking clinical trials focused on understanding the role of lifestyle in cancer.
Yes! The purpose of CIRCL is to develop a team of devoted investigators to make progress in the field of lifestyle and cancer. If you are interested in studying cancer and lifestyle, you are welcome to join.
