Research Scientist; Blood Pool SPECT, AutoQUANT MD, DICOM
Serge Van Kriekinge, PhD is a research scientist with the Quantitative Diagnostic Software Group (QUAD). Dr. Van Kriekinge is also an Assistant Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) David Geffen School of Medicine.
Dr. Van Kriekinge's research focus is on the development of automated, 3D phase-based regional wall motion analysis for the detection of coronary artery and conduction-related diseases using blood pool SPECT images, and the extension of blood pool SPECT work to ventricular function analysis for other modalities. He is also investigating the applicability of mathematical phantoms to the validation of quantification and image registration algorithms.
Dr. Van Kriekinge has authored or co-authored several manuscripts and abstracts and received several prestigious academic awards such as the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Engineering and Applied Science Outstanding Doctor of Philosophy Award.
Dr. Van Kriekinge received his bachelor's degree in mechanical and electrical engineering from the University of Brussels, Belgium. He earned his master's and doctorate degrees in computer science from UCLA.
Parker Waechter is a software engineer with the Quantitative Diagnostic Software Group (QUAD).
Parker's research focus is in the automatic quantification of nuclear cardiac perfusion studies (QPS, AutoQUANT), motion studies and SPECT reconstruction. He is also a key contributor to the Automatic Report Generation software (ARG).
Parker received his bachelor's degree in computer information science and psychobiology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and his master's degree in computer science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
