Meet Our Team

Sungyong You, PhD
Director

Sungyong has a strong background in computational biology and systems biology, and his efforts contributed to the development of these resources: unified data processing and analysis pipelines, computational infrastructure by acquiring workstations and cloud server, and an in-house database containing a large collection of cancer data and molecular interaction information.

Richard Ainsworth, PhD
Research Bioinformatician

Ainsworth received his PhD in physics from University College London, where he developed and applied theoretical methodologies to calculate physical properties of biomedical phosphate-based glasses. His collaborative work includes developing personalized treatment strategies in rheumatoid arthritis and the characterization of epigenetic reorganization in the frontal cortex of individuals with schizophrenia.

Kevin Tsang, MS
Research Data Scientist

Kevin Tsang earned his master of science in applied data science from the University of Southern California. Kevin was a research data analyst at City of Hope, developing pipelines with next-generation sequencing and SNP genotype data analyses. Kevin is responsible for data analysis, pipeline development and consultation for BISR projects.
